        Carissa Gray Personal Biography

        For the past two decades, Carissa Gray has provided students at Georgia State University and others interested in other higher education programs with devoted and compassionate instruction. Her knowledge is well-known and esteemed, and she gives annual presentations at regional and national conferences.

        Gray has focused throughout her career on assisting students and educators in achieving new levels of accomplishment. This expertise contributed to establishing an organization dedicated to enhancing the classroom experience for kids and providing instructors with the resources necessary to help pupils flourish.

         

        Current responsibilities

        Since 2014, Gray has held the Associate Professor of English position at George State University Perimeter College.

         

        Career Record

        In 2009, Gray was the Department Chair of English, Arts, and Humanities at Perimeter College, where she began working in the English Department in 2003. She occupied this role until 2016.

        As her academic achievements increased, she founded Instructional Technology Coaching, or ITC, to train instructors on the most recent techniques for classroom management and student engagement across many learning modalities. From classroom gamification choices to image sourcing, Carissa Gray covers everything and distributes her extensive resource bank via ITC. She also creates dynamic workshops for local, regional, and national conferences centered on the classroom experience in higher education and beyond through ITC.

        Gray was an assistant professor of English at Georgia Perimeter College from 2009 to 2014. From 2003 through 2009, she taught English at the institution. During 2001 and 2002, she taught English at the Seoul Language Institute in Bundang, Korea.

         

        Academic Record and Educational History

        Gray graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in sociology in 1997 and a Master of Arts in English in 1999. She continued to pursue graduate coursework at Georgia State University during her years as a lecturer since she was never one to stop learning.

         

        Qualifications and Experience

        Gray is an outstanding educator at integrating technology into the classroom to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment. She is also exceptionally effective at communicating and sharing knowledge about these strategies with colleagues in a straightforward and applicable manner. Her expertise in this field led to the formation of her company, ITC.

        Her likability as a public speaker is well-known, making her a perfect candidate for presentations at large and local conferences and as a workshop facilitator for more concentrated sessions. While most of her current work focuses on higher education, Gray's ideas and tools are also significant investments for secondary school leaders and instructors seeking to build a more dynamic, student-focused learning environment.
